Dear all,
I have searched the archives only to discover that this list is
apparently not archived (or did I miss something?).
I'm sure that his must have been discussed before in this forum: What
accessibility issues are we facing by using Flash?
I got a request to review a new web site before it is going to be
launched. The index page is entirely in flash and on the subsequent
pages the designer used flash for the navigation. There is, in my
judgment absolutely no reason to use flash for both of these
instances other than being "cool and hip" (and play annoying noises
when moving the mouse over the links).
Another problem, not directly linked to accessibility though: I see
in the fact that search engines cannot follow any links and therefor
will be unable to index any content.
I would appreciate any input on "Flash accessibility issues" and
maybe some educating links/urls.
Thank you so much,
:: doris
